Connect StatusPulse to Slack

Real-time monitoring for zero-downtime SaaS

Why integrate with Slack?

Route uptime alerts, incident updates, and recovery notifications directly into your existing Slack workspace. StatusPulse pushes real-time webhook events to designated channels, ensuring your engineering and customer success teams stay aligned without context switching.

Teams like Meridian Cloud and Stratos Analytics use our Slack bot to automate on-call handoffs, post structured incident timelines, and trigger runbook actions directly from message threads. The integration supports multi-channel routing, role-based alert filtering, and threaded replies for collaborative troubleshooting.

Setup Steps

1. Generate an API Token

Navigate to Settings > Integrations in your StatusPulse dashboard. Click Create Slack Token and copy the 64-character OAuth string. Store it securely in your vault; you will not be able to view it again.

2. Authorize the Workspace

Paste the token into the Slack OAuth dialog and select your target workspace. Grant permissions for channel:read, chat:write, and incoming-webhook access. Confirm the installation to bind the bot to your organization.

3. Map Channels to Monitors

Assign specific Slack channels to your uptime checks. Route #prod-alerts to your API gateway monitors and #staging-notifications to deployment health checks. Configure severity thresholds to avoid alert fatigue.

Slash Commands & Interactive Controls

Extend your incident response workflow with native Slack slash commands and inline action buttons. Trigger diagnostics, acknowledge alerts, and escalate tickets without leaving the client.

/statuspulse check

Run an immediate synthetic probe against your configured endpoints. Returns a formatted block with latency, TLS certificate validity, and HTTP status codes for the last 10 minutes.

/statuspulse ack

Acknowledge an active incident directly from the alert thread. Attaches your user ID, timestamps the response, and suppresses follow-up paging until the monitor recovers or the SLA window expires.

Interactive Message Buttons

Every alert payload includes View Dashboard, Pause Alerts, and Create Runbook buttons. Clicking Pause Alerts opens a modal to set a maintenance window between 15 minutes and 8 hours, automatically resuming monitoring afterward.
